Our recommendations

My favourite comedian in German is Loriot! Through him you really get to know and love German humour. Just search for "Loriot" on YouTube and start laughing.

Maria, student assistant in the German Department

The Museum of Communication in Berlin has great exhibitions that you can visit online: for example, there is an exhibition about arguing or about why we don't put into effect what we know about the climate. To visit the online exhibitions, just Google "MFK Berlin".

Barbara Rodríguez, Lecturer

"Deutschlandfunk Hörsaal" is my go-to radio programme. It has current themes from academia and research. There are so many topics and you can pick the one that interests you the most. You can find "Deutschland Hörsaal" wherever there are podcasts.

Doris Lütjen, Lecturer

Want to speak more German? Why not learn in tandem? Lots of German students are learning another language at the Viadrina Language Centre. Just click on 'Self-study centre' above to find your tandem partner!
