Placement test

• Q: Do I have to take the placement test in any case?

   A: No, not in any case.

 

• You will have to take the placement test, if you already have previous knowledge and if you have not yet participated in a German language course at EUV.

• If you do not have any previous knowledge, you can directly enroll for the course "Deutsch A1" on viaCampus.

• If you already successfully completed a German language course at EUV, you can directly enroll for the next level (online via ViaCampus)

• If you already took the DSH or any equivalent exam, you don’t have to take the placement test. In this case, please contact the Lektorat Deutsch.

 

• Q: I successfully completed a German language course at Viadrina last semester. Do I have to take the a placement test?

   A: No.

•  You can directly enroll online on ViaCampus.

 

• Q: I took part in an Erasmus intensive language course. Do I have to take the placement test?

   A:

• If you passed the final exam of the intensive language course, you don’t have to take the placement test. You can directly enroll online on ViaCampus.

• If you did not pass the final exam, please re-take the course.

 

• Q: I am not able to come to the test for important reasons. What do I have to do?

   A: Please contact the Lektorat Deutsch as soon as possible. We will try to find another day for you.

 

• Q: I received  the results of the placement test. What should I do now?

    A: You can directly enroll for your course on ViaCampus. 

 

• Q: For how long are the test results valid?

   A: The results are valid for two semesters.
