Information on the examination

Please note that no applications for accreditation (recognition) can be processed ten days before and after the written examination.


Written examination

DICTIONARIES:

You can use an English-English dictionary for the written exam.
You must bring your own dictionary.
You cannot share a dictionary with someone else.
REGISTRATION

You cannot register on the day of the exam. If you are not on the registration list, you cannot be admitted to the exam. Regular registration ends three working days before the written examination.


Oral examination

The list in which you can register for the oral examination will be displayed in front of the English lectorate (AB 124/125) one week before the written examination.
A list of topics for the oral exam will be posted at the same time as the dates. For the exam, you must choose ONE topic and prepare to argue for or against your chosen statement.
You should prepare to support your arguments (10-15 minutes). The rest of the exam consists of a discussion with the examiners.
You can use notes during the oral exam, but you cannot read text. You cannot use a laptop or an overhead projector.

Information on the examination

The UNIcert® III Wiwi exam takes place at the end of each semester.

Register for the exam online in viaCampus approximately 2 weeks before the end of the semester.

 WRITTEN EXAMINATION

The listening comprehension part of the examination will be either a video or audio recording of a discussion, interview or lecture with a business or economic theme.  The recording will be about five minutes long. 

For the reading comprehension part of the examination, you will be asked to give short answers and longer written answers  Exam texts are chosen from business and economics related journals such as The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times or other 

The writing portion is an essay of 400 to 500 words on one of three or four given topics.

ORAL EXAMINATION

The oral part of the exam takes 30 minutes and will be given by appointment, generally the week following the written exam. The exam will be scheduled by appointment directly at the end of the written exam, if not sooner. 

Students will receive 3 to 4 possible topics 3 days prior to their oral exam date,
